Havana, Cuba: Cuba reported 104 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday and one deceased at the end of this Sunday, Radio Havana Cuba reports.
According to the website of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) there are 3,108 patients admitted, 2,483 suspects, 92 under surveillance and 533 confirmed active.
For Covid-19, a total of 17 thousand 594 samples were made for surveillance during the day, accumulating 11 million 219 thousand 671 samples taken and 963 thousand 194 positive.
Of the total of cases, 90 were contacts of confirmed cases; nine with a source of infection abroad; five with no specified source of infection. Of those diagnosed, 56 were female and 48 male.
25.0% (26) of the 104 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132 thousand 677 that represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 104 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (12), from 20 to 39 years old (24), from 40 to 59 years old (37), 60 and over (31).
Of the 963,194 patients diagnosed with the disease, 533 remain hospitalized, of them 513 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,310 deaths (1 per day), a fatality rate of 0.86% vs. 1.98% in the world and 2.41% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 119 discharges, 954 thousand 294 recovered patients accumulate (99.1%). 20 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 9 of them critical and 11 serious.
On the day, 1 deceased patient was reported. We deeply regret what happened and convey our condolences to his family and friends.
