Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, December 15, a total of 2,575 patients were admitted, 2,000 suspects, 259 under surveillance and 316 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 19 thousand 238 samples were made for surveillance during the day, with 72 being positive. The country accumulates 11 million 396 thousand 018 samples carried out and 963 thousand 885 positive.
Of the total cases (72): 48 were contacts of confirmed cases; 21 with a source of infection abroad; 3 without a specified source of infection. Of the 72 cases diagnosed, 39 were female and 33 male.
36.1% (26) of the 72 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132 thousand 865 that represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 72 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (3), from 20 to 39 years old (18), from 40 to 59 years old (35), 60 and over (16).

Of the 963 thousand 885 patients diagnosed with the disease, 316 remain hospitalized, of them 304 with stable clinical evolution. 8,313 deaths accumulate (0 in the day), fatality of 0.86% vs 1.96% in the world and 2.40% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 65 discharges (7 less than those diagnosed), there are 955 thousand 199 recovered patients (99.1%). Twelve confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 5 of them critical and 7 severe.
No deceased patients were reported on the day.
