Cuba: The popular consultation on the Family Code project will be held in February, March and April, the President of the National Electoral Council, Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez informed, Radio Rebelde reports.
During the activities prior to the eighth regular session of the National Assembly of People’s Power in its ninth Legislature, the official indicated that in January the electoral authorities of the constituency, special commissions and information processing groups will be trained.
They have also planned parliamentary meetings to clarify organizational issues and will develop a practical exercise at the end of that month with the participation of the constituency committees. For this democratic process, 78,110 meeting points were determined in the communities, which lawyers will attend, and each voter will have the right to bring their proposals, whether of modification, addition, elimination or doubts, favorable and others.
