Mayabeque, Cuba: Professionals from the Isotope Center, CENTIS, of Mayabeque will participate in the workshop on the defense of scientific-technical results of the year, with a view to approval by the Technical Advisory Council of the Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies (AENTA), which will take place in Havana.
The remaining institutions that will attend the event are the Center for Environmental Studies of Cienfuegos (CEAC), the Center for Information and Technological Management (CIGET, Granma), the Center for Technological Applications for Sustainable Development (CATEDES, Guantánamo) and the Center for Environmental Engineering (CIAC, Camagüey), the digital site La Demajagua reports.
In the workshop on the defense of scientific-technical results of the year, there are 17 outreach materials, including the corresponding services and three awards from the Cuban Academy of Sciences (ACC).
One of them is SARS-COV-2, High resolution microscopy, A contribution from nanobiomedicine to the control of the pandemic in Cuba, from the Center for Advanced Studies of Cuba (CEA); followed by the Scientific, Technological and Innovation Observatory of Cuba, of the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information (IDICT), both located in Havana.
Finally, Studies of danger, vulnerability and risk of the southeastern region of Cuba. Contribution to reduction of disaster risk, from the National Center for Seismological Research (CENAIS), in the province of Santiago de Cuba.
RECNUC also pointed out that as a whole they had already been approved by the Board of Directors of AENTA, one of the three from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. The other two are the Environment and the Social and Humanistic Sciences.
However, they will be evaluated by a highly qualified jury in the two sessions of the meeting of experts, Wednesday and Thursday, at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
