Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, December 21, 2,578 patients were admitted, 2,488 suspects, 175 under surveillance and 355 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 16,261 samples were made for surveillance during the day, with 80 being positive. The country accumulates 11,497,863 samples made and 964,317 positive.
Of the total cases (80): 48 were contacts of confirmed cases; 25 with a source of infection abroad; 7 without a specified source of infection. Of the 80 diagnosed cases, 35 were female and 45 male.
48.8% (39) of the 80 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 133 thousand that represents 13.8% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 80 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years (5), 20 to 39 years (34), 40 to 59 years (27), 60 and over (14).
