Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Monday four deaths and 792 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 1 million 061 thousand 524 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
At midnight yesterday, February 13, a total of 13 thousand 446 patients are admitted, 8 thousand 593 suspects in surveillance 102 and confirmed active 4 thousand 751.
For COVID-19, a total of 13,876 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 792 being positive for 5.7% positivity. The country accumulates 12 million 908 thousand 470 samples carried out and 1 million 061 thousand 524 positives (8.2%).
Of the total cases (792): 792 were contacts of confirmed cases, 16 with a source of infection abroad and 11 without a specified source of infection. Of the 792 diagnosed cases, 419 were female and 373 male.
7.7% (61) of the 792 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 144,423, which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 792 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (222), 20 to 39 years old (198), 40 to 59 years old (211), 60 and over (161).
Of the million 061 thousand 524 patients diagnosed with the disease, 4 thousand 751 (0.4%) remain hospitalized, of them 4 thousand 714 (99.2%) with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,476 deaths (4 on the day), a lethality of 0.80% vs 1.42% in the world and 1.79% in the Americas; two evacuated and 57 returned to their countries. On the day there were 846 discharges, accumulated 1 million 048 thousand 238 recovered patients (98.7%). 37 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 19 are critical and 18 are serious.
