Havana, Cuba: The general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC), Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, expressed his satisfaction at greeting the selfless working class of the Light Industry in occasion of the celebration of their Day, this March 1st.
The also member of the Political Bureau, pointed out that despite the fact that this branch is one of the most affected in the country by the blockade and the global crisis due to the effects of the pandemic, it has not ceased to be, due to its importance, a strategic sector of economic development.
Likewise, the National Union of Industries, the Ministry of the sector and the Light Industry Business Group congratulated the members for celebrating their day on Tuesday.
In the message, Arturo Rodríguez, general secretary of the workers’ organization, highlighted the support of the men and women of that specialty for public health in the battle against Covid-19.
