Belize: The meeting of heads of government of the Caribbean Community, Caricom, meets today and tomorrow in the Belizean town of San Pedro, to discuss economic recovery and other issues of regional importance, Radio Reloj reports.
In the conclave they evaluate the progress in the implementation of the Caricom Single Market and Economy and examine the political situation in Haiti, as well as the socioeconomic and security challenges of that country and the region in general.
The agenda includes analysis of agri-food systems and recommendations to advance nutritional security.
Next Thursday, the participants will join the Fourth Summit of the Central American Integration System and Caricom and the appearance of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, was announced.
