National Fertility Survey in Cuba on April.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Office of Statistics and Information and its Center for Population and Development Studies will carry out the National Fertility Survey from April 1 to 30, which will include people between 15 and 54 years of age from the entire territory national.

The results of the research will offer scientific evidence and information on the reproductive decision-making of men and women in the midst of a demographic scenario characterized by low birth rates that do not ensure generational replacement.

In the Methodological Seminar to train specialists from different regions of the country about the survey, they ratified that fertility constitutes one of the most important demographic phenomena for population growth.

This field operation is a milestone as it is the first to be carried out in the country after the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be carried out with mobile data capture devices.
