Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque´s cold storage plant 406, located in Güines, is ready for the conservation of just over 200 tons of potatoes per day during the current cold season.
Its facilities recently received a repair in 23 of its cold chambers to store in optimal conditions this food of great demand in the population.
The constant monitoring of temperature and maintaining energy efficiency to guarantee adequate conservation and subsequent commercialization with the ideal conditions is a premise for the group of workers.
The potato stored for 180 days in the entity is destined for the markets of the country’s capital.
