Mayabeque, Cuba: Martí’s thought: “Who says to educate, already says to want”, presided over the second academic act of graduation of the Short Cycle Higher Education and the closing of the fourth edition of the University College of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences, of the Agrarian University of Havana: “Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez”.
The ceremony, dedicated to the centenary of the University Student Federation (FEU), to the 60th anniversary of the Young Communists League (UJC) and to the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences, was held in the Casa de la Décima of Mayabeque with the assistance of the main authorities of the territory.
“I thought it was a good opportunity for parents to see the results of their children. I consider that they are very necessary for the future and that they can contribute what they learned in the Basic Secondary School and continue their university studies later”, commented the Doctor of Sciences Tania Pérez Castro, Vice Chancellor of the Agrarian University of Havana: “Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez”.
Exclusively for Radio Mayabeque digital, Doctor of Sciences Orlianis Farradás López, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences, expressed: ““Today is a happy day for the Faculty, for the University, I would say for education in the province of Mayabeque. We are in the act with these 111 graduates, who we managed to title. It has been a brief training stage, as this type of program requires, but very intense. There are levels of satisfaction in the family, in the students.”
During the day, the 6 best students of the University College were recognized, as well as the comprehensive graduate of Higher Education Short Cycle in the specialty of Geography, the young Daniela Esther Torres González: “I think it has been the greatest recognition after 2 years of study, the effort of teachers and family, and the support of the entire group”, he said.
