Mayabeque, Cuba: Half a hundred new windows have already been placed in the classrooms of the Captain San Luis Pre-University Institute in Jaruco, one week after its repair began.

The Cuban Cultural Assets Fund brigade in charge of the work added a window to the Physics laboratory and will undertake the same action in the Chemistry laboratory, so that both premises will improve in natural light and ventilation.

Starting on Friday, the veneer of the floors in the classrooms with gray marble slabs will begin, to continue with the remodeling of the teaching chair, the brigade chief, Osmay Martínez Sanabria, said.

The construction project is the only one approved for the restart of classes in September and is supported with a financing of 260 thousand pesos, said the director of Education of Jaruco, Lic. Mayret Barroso Cruz.

Rehabilitating the bathrooms, redesigning the plaza and replacing the electrical networks are other actions contemplated in the work that will cover the improvement of its environment.
