Mayabeque, Cuba: The Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) Rómulo Padrón, from the municipality of Jaruco, encourages the development of cattle farming. The main lines are destined to the production of meat and milk for the national balance and for the Dairy Complex.
“The strength is in the beef cattle and various crops. In this year, we are approaching to the 100 tons of meat and 110 thousand liters of milk?, the president of the CCS, Luis Pérez Gil comments.
“One of the priorities is the sowing of animal feed, to ensure the sustainability of livestock in the dry season, because during the rainy months this situation does not exist,” he added.
To fulfill the productive commitments, they diversify the assortments, and thus contribute to food sovereignty and also guarantee animal food.
