Mayabeque, Cuba: The team Huracanes of Mayabeque that will participate in the upcoming National Baseball Series received the flag recently.
In the event that took place at the Nelson Fernández stadium in San José de las Lajas, Denis Laza, captain of the team, received the banner from Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Orlando Lavandera, read the commitment of the athletes, who also signed the code of ethics for the competition.
The moment was propitious to recognize the Cuban Women Federation and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, for the 60th anniversary of the creation of both organizations.
In the central words Yunier Romero Rizo, provincial coordinator of the CDRs, called on the team to give every effort in each game, respect and comply with the measures directed by the Ministry of Public Health and make this campaign a gift for the people of Mayabeque.
Also attending the flag ceremony were Tamara Valido Benítez, Governor of the province, as well as Omar Venegas and Ariel Zains, Vice Presidents of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation.
