Havana: At midnight yesterday, September 2, 1,346 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 26 under surveillance, 682 suspects and 638 confirmed, the official website of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba publishes.
For COVID-19 5,691 samples were studied, resulting in 88 positive samples. The country accumulates 414 thousand 418 samples carried out and 4 thousand 214 positive (1.02%).
Of the 88 diagnosed cases, 87 are Cubans and one foreigner from Mexico. Of the total number of cases, 77 were contacts of confirmed cases and 11 the source of infection is not specified. 47 are male and 41 are female. 71.5% (63) were asymptomatic.

Of the 4,214 patients diagnosed with the disease, 638 (15.1%) remain confirmed, 617, 96.7% with stable clinical evolution. 100 deaths are reported (two of the day), two evacuated, 16 discharges of the day, 3 thousand 474 recovered patients accumulate (82.4%). Four patients in critical condition and 17 patients in serious condition are reported.
Until September 2, 185 countries with cases of COVID-19 are reported, the number of confirmed cases rises to 25 million 776 thousand 601 (+ 267 thousand 466) and 857 thousand 448 deaths (+ 6 thousand 546) for a lethality of 3.33.
In the region of the Americas, 13 million 635 thousand 382 confirmed cases (+ 127 thousand 140) are reported, 52.90 of the total cases reported in the world, with 474 thousand 047 deaths (+ 4 thousand 150) for a fatality of 3.48 (-0.01).
