Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque is on its way to its tenth anniversary on January 9, 2021, prioritizing the improvement of Public Health units.
The constructive actions are carried out in the municipalities of Güines and San José de Las Lajas, where the main institutions of the sector are concentrated.
The director of infrastructure in the province, Félix Albelo Bueno, highlighted the continuity of the Manuel Piti Fajardo maternal and child hospital to finish the child therapy, the pathological anatomy room and the laboratory.
In the Crisanto Betancourt psychiatric hospital in the territory, the pharmacy and cold room were completed and other work objects continue with the purpose of improving the living conditions of patients and workers.
They also work in the assisted reproduction clinic and in the hemodialysis center, specialized services of high sensitivity for the population.
In San José de las Lajas, investments are being carried out as planned, Albelo Bueno highlighted. He also said that he recently the maintenance of the maternal home and the home for children without family protection concluded and they are working currently at the Leopoldito Martínez hospital.
There are more than a hundred works carried out in the territory so far this year, including new homes to meet the needs of vulnerable population segments, among others.
