Cuba: At midnight yesterday, September 25, 8,291 patients are admitted to health institutions for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 6,322 under surveillance, 1,411 suspects and 558 confirmed, the official website of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba reports.

7,744 samples were studied for COVID-19, resulting in 62 positive samples. The country accumulates 584 thousand 894 samples carried out and 5 thousand 412 positive (0.93%).

Of the 62 diagnosed cases, 58 are Cuban and 4 are foreigners temporary residing in Cuba. Of the total number of cases, 53 were contacts of confirmed cases and 9 without a specified source of infection, 31 were male and 31 were female. 74.1% (46) were asymptomatic.

Of the 5,412 patients diagnosed with the disease, 558 (10.3%) remain confirmed, 550 and 98.5% with stable clinical evolution. 120 deaths are reported (two of the day), two evacuated, 74 discharges of the day, 4 thousand 732 recovered patients accumulate (87.4%). Three critically ill and five seriously ill patients are reported.

Until September 25, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 32 million 289 thousand 82 (+ 319 thousand 603) and 984 thousand 40 deaths (+ 5 thousand 756) for a lethality of 3.04 (-0.02).

In the region of the Americas, 16 million 153 thousand 731 confirmed cases (+ 121 thousand 18) are reported, 50.02% of the total cases reported in the world, with 544 thousand 801 deaths (+ 3 thousand 177) for a fatality of 3.37.
