Non-state sector workers.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The non-state employment modality has been strongly impacted this year by Covid-19 and the tightening of the United States blockade against Cuba.

Training actions for workers in the sector will continue in Madruga in the last quarter of 2020, in order to strengthen and make more efficient their management adapted to the new conditions in the country.

More than 900 people in the municipality carry out the activity in their different profiles; many now reopen their businesses after months closed due to the pandemic and show interest in staying abreast of the established legal regulations.

In this sense, the Union of Jurists through its lawyers will offer advice to self-employed workers in the period, through seminars in places where physical distancing can be guaranteed and always with a limited number of people.

The Association of Economists of the territory offers courses through the use of social networks and the delivery of tabloids that contribute to raising the economic culture of this union.

On the other hand, the visits of the technicians and specialists of the Epidemiology Center of the public health department to the sales areas constitute control actions.
