Havana: Cuba reported 26 new positive cases with Covid-19 and no deaths from the disease, at the close of Wednesday, October 8, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
Twenty-four of those infected are Cubans and two foreigners. The figure is the result of 7 thousand 208 samples studied in the different Molecular Biology laboratories of the national territory.
“Of the 26 positives detected, 17 are contacts of confirmed cases; eight have not specified the source of infection, and 17 were asymptomatic.
Of the total number of people detected with the disease in the last hours, 10 are male and 9 female.
420 patients remain in hospitals with Covid-19, of which 418 have a stable clinical course. One patient is in serious condition and one critical, in the province of Villa Clara.
Yesterday there were 27 medical discharges with which there are 5,398 recovered.
The new cases were reported in the provinces of Havana (20); Sancti Spíritus (4), and Pinar del Río (2). Ciego de Ávila maintains the highest incidence rate in the last 15 days (52.17%).
