Cuba Reports Five Positive Cases to Covid-19

Havana: Cuba reported 5 new positive cases with Covid-19 and no deaths from the disease, at the end of Friday, October 9, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

All those infected are Cuban, female. The figure is the result of 7,066 samples studied in the different Molecular Biology laboratories of the national territory.

4,755 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 695 suspects, 3,677 under surveillance and 383 confirmed.

The confirmed cases belong to Havana 2, Sancti Spítitus 2 and Ciego de Avila 1.

Of the 5,948 patients diagnosed in Cuba with the disease, 383 (6.4%) remain confirmed, 380, 99.2% with stable clinical evolution. 123 deaths are reported (none of the day), two evacuated and 5,440 recovered patients (91.5%) (42 discharges of the day) accumulate. One patient in critical condition and two patients in serious condition are reported.

Until October 9, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, it amounts to 36 million 583 thousand 110 confirmed cases (+ 388 thousand 346) and one million 062 thousand 978 deaths (+ 9 thousand 017) for a fatality of 2, 90 (-0.01).

In the region of the Americas, 17 million 722 thousand 081 confirmed cases (+154 thousand 408) are reported, 48.44% of the total cases reported in the world, with 587 thousand 047 deaths (+ 6 thousand 075) for a fatality of 3.31.
