Mayabeque, Cuba: Some 80 collaborators from the health sector of the province of Mayabeque are working on the prevention and control of Covid 19 as members of brigades belonging to the Henry Reeve contingent, in Mexico, Peru and also in different islands of the Caribbean.
The head of medical collaboration in the province, Master Anays Santos Gutiérrez, added that specialists, doctors, nurses and Mayabeque technicians collaborate in Kuwai, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The governments of these Persian Gulf nations have expressed their interest in maintaining Cuban medical collaboration.
Of those countries, we Cubans know their high oil production, the multiplicity of languages, customs and cultures. Dr. Yamilé Camijo Torriente arrived there.
In her backpack the necessary equipment, in her thoughts the confrontation with the almost unknown and the responsibility of fulfilling the most important professional mission in her life, in the distance the family, Cuba, her beloved homeland.
