The Branch of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in Mayabeque, joins the celebration of the Cuban Culture Day with a wide and varied program of activities.

Among the most notorious initiatives is the exhibition dedicated to the prima ballerina assoluta, Alicia Alonso, as was announced by the President of the UNEAC in the province Juan Carlos García Guridi.

“We had the opportunity to inaugurate an exhibition called From Design to Philately, which the vice president and promoter, Juan Martínez Soler, treasures with pieces that belonged to the Cuban dancer?, García Guridi explained.

In coordination with the José Martí Cultural Society and the Montecallado publishing house, they held a literary meeting invited by the distinguished poet, Esther Trujillo.

The Tacon theater group visited the rural communities of Santa Cruz del Norte where they brought dance, repentismo, magic and clowns.

Several art manifestations come together to pay tribute to Cuban culture. At the Raúl Gómez García Provincial Library, in Güines, a group exhibition called Alchemy was inaugurated, where artists from the UNEAC were also present.

The UNEAC in Mayabeque works on different activities to promote the culture and values ??that make up the national identity in the family.
