The president of the ACNU highlighted the work of the island’s government and the institutions to safeguard the rights of the population, and weighed in on the existing guarantees regarding health, education, life and free expression.

Cuba is internationally recognized for the promotion and enjoyment of these guarantees, indicators for which it was elected for the fifth time as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the period 2021-2023.
