New Delhi: India will carry out tomorrow a general trial of the vaccination against Covid-19 in all the states and territories of the country, Prensa Latina publishes.

This is the second time such a drill has been carried out. The first took place on December 28 and 29 but in only four states, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported

The Secretary of Health, Rajesh Bhushan, chaired a high-level meeting to review the preparation of the immunization campaign through a videoconference, the All India Radio station reflected.

Meanwhile, the country’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported 20 thousand 35 new cases on Friday and another 256 people died due to the current pandemic, which causes the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The South Asian nation accumulates to date 10 million 286 thousand 709 infected inhabitants while the total of deaths amounts to 148 thousand 994.

At least 9,883,461 people were cured of the contagious disease, for a national patient recovery rate of 96.08 percent, according to official data.

India still has 254,254 Covid-19 patients, but that number means only 2.47 percent of the people infected since the beginning of the outbreak.

On the other hand, to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus variant, India imposed travel restrictions on the UK until January 7.
