Mayabeque, Cuba: In order to promote critical studies and literary research, the Writers Association of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba invites its members to the Cintio Vitier creation scholarship for book projects.
In the centenary year of the outstanding Cuban intellectual, committed to the culture and destiny of the nation, the organizers invite to present projects on the work of the outstanding poet, narrator, essayist and critic.
All UNEAC member writers may opt for this scholarship. They will compete with a single project. The winning authors in the two previous editions will not be able to participate.
The works will be sent in two ways: printed and by email.
They will award an annual scholarship for critical studies with an endowment of 10,000 pesos. The author will be obliged to present the finished work one year after receiving the grant.
The Cintio Vitier scholarship will be announced in September 2021 in an official ceremony in the Sala Villena of the UNEAC.
