Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, January 31, 13,017 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 4,050 suspects, 3,498 under surveillance and 5,469 confirmed, the Cuban Health Ministry publishes in its official website.
For COVID-19, 18,403 samples were studied, resulting in 906 positive samples. The country accumulates one million 904 thousand 926 samples made and 27 thousand 592 positive.
Of the total cases (906): 859 were contacts of confirmed cases; 16 with a source of infection abroad; on day 31 without a specified source of infection. Of the 906 diagnosed cases, 468 were female and 438 male.
47.9% (434) of the 906 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 15,408, which represents 56.1% of those confirmed to date.
Of the total cases of the day, 40 are linked to international travelers. The 906 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years: 125; from 20 to 39 years: 298; from 40 to 59 years: 346; and more than 60: 137 cases.
