Havana: The Canadian company International Zeolite Corp (IZC by its English initials) reported that it is negotiating today with the Cuban company Geominera S.A the creation of an International Economic Association focused on the Nerea fertilizer, derived from zeolite.

According to the Cuba Business Report site, the parties focused on developing joint projects aimed at the creation of an International Economic Association for the production, technology transfer, commercialization, and distribution of Nerea products in the Canadian market, Prensa Latina reports.

The text expands: “according to IZC during the conversations, where the University of Havana also participated, three major agreements were concluded to formalize work teams and better understand the Nerea products, developed by the island during the last 20 years.”

All this, adhere to the rules that regulate foreign investment in Cuba, the note states.

At the meeting, the general director of Foreign Investment in Cuba, Carlos Luis Jorge reiterated that IZC will have all the necessary support.

Nerea’s zeoponic technology produces higher crop yields by 20 and 30 percent and a higher product quality.

In addition, it uses 30 percent less water and the plants have a lower risk of infection by fungi, viruses and microorganisms.

Likewise, Nerea substrates are respectful with the environment and do not produce residues that damage it. International Zeolite Corp is a mineral exploration and trading company, and supplier of natural zeolite and its derivatives.
