Mayabeque, Cuba: Preparations for the eighth congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) to be held next April began in the municipality of Nueva Paz.
According to the cadre official of the locality, Maite Mejías Martín, 130 delegates will participate in the balance of the organization in the territory and 115 pre-candidates for members of the Central Committee have being selected.
Like any growing organization, it carries out selective work in which young people with skills and outstanding work experience stand out.
“Under the slogan We Are Continuity and the support of the organizations of the municipality, a positive work is achieved?, the official explains.
The great appointment, which will be held between April 16 and 19, 2021, will be the Congress of historical continuity, since the Revolution is not limited to those who led it to victory that glorious January 1st, but to the will and commitment of those who made it theirs in all these years, and those who will continue the work.
The upcoming conclave will focus on core issues in the life of the country, and will include updating the Conceptualization of the Cuban Economic and Social Model of Socialist Development, and the Guidelines, as well as analyzing the functioning of the political organization, its relationship with the masses and ideological activity.
