Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Baseball Commission reported that due to the return of the province to the limited autochthonous transmission phase, the training period for the under-23 baseball team of Mayabeque is suspended.

The group made up of 40 athletes had already completed 10 days of preparation, mainly with physical work, but this week they increased volumes to defense, batting and pitching.

Among those summoned there are many players who made up the last Hurricanes team to the 60th National Series, maintaining the base of the previous year, with some absences due to the regulations of the National Baseball Directorate in limiting athletes who worked more than 60 innings in the pitching and appeared more than 120 times at the homeplay.

Sources from the Provincial Sports Commission for balls and strikes explained that once the epidemiological situation allows it, they will return to the Nelson Fernández Stadium, in San José de las Lajas, to continue training.
