Havana, Cuba: Cuban analysts today unmask and denounce the tactics of subversive people, structures and sites that, from social networks, follow the script of the so-called soft coup, promote illegality and simulate chaos in the country, Prensa Latina publishes.
Through different media, authorities, intellectuals, artists, and other personalities on the island coincide in pointing to the United States as the primary source of this subversion.
According to official data, in the last two decades the US government has dedicated nearly 250 million dollars to programs with subversive purposes against Cuba.
In this regard, the national news program of Cuban television pointed out the formation of working groups in social networks that coordinate illegal actions in search of destabilization.
As protagonists in these groups are people linked to internet sites (ADN Cuba, 14 y medio and Diario de Cuba) that maintain financing ties with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US State Department.
Among its proposals is to mark national banknotes with images or symbols that would render them invalid for circulation, according to the regulations of the National Bank of Cuba.
On the other hand, the newscast showed the illegality and little seriousness of a list that, also from social networks, seeks to collect a certain number of signatures around the world to demand a ministerial dismissal in the country.
Cuban television noted that among the alleged signatories are names such as Ggv, TwDlionx and NA with different nationalities.
Previously, the island’s press presented testimonies from intellectuals and former agents of the Cuban state security that show how Washington and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) promote the formation of opinion leaders to generate subversive actions in Cuba.
In fact, the former agent Raúl Capote assures that the United States needs to train these individuals and for this it implements strategies such as granting scholarships through institutions and organizations.
“Above all, they need to change the way of thinking of Cubans, to create an uncritical mass of people who do not believe in the Revolution and nothing more valuable than art, than culture to be able to change values,” he added.
As part of the discrediting campaign that they promote against Cuban institutions, these same people and structures construct false news about an alleged collapse in hospitals in Santiago de Cuba (east) due to Covid-19.
According to the national press, the purpose of this information is to create negative opinions at the international level about the island, to justify the coercive measures against the largest of the Antilles.
In the opinion of the Doctor of Psychological Sciences Dionisio Zaldívar, the media campaigns against the island have been systematic since the triumph of the Revolution and have intensified in recent years.
The Cuba Money Project site, by the American journalist Tracey Eaton, states that in 2020 alone, agencies such as the USAID dedicated around 2.5 million dollars to subversive activities.
Several specialists point out that this coincides with the soft coup script that is being applied in Cuba, a strategy designed by the American political scientist Gene Sharp for the CIA, which has already been successfully implemented in countries of Eastern Europe and Latin America.
According to the manual, young people, under the banner of “non-violence”, and using logos and marketing tactics, should encourage small riots in the street to create a permanent environment of instability and chaos.
Then, with the attention of the international media, they provoke the repression of the security forces to project an image of violation of human rights that could be used to justify any action against the government.
