Especialista en medicina general integral, Doctor Dany Sosa.

Mayabeque, Cuba: Public health professionals who work at the Pedro Albizu Campos teacher training school, in Mayabeque, converted into an emergency isolation center, put into practice biosafety protocols for the care of patients suspected of Covid 19

In this facility, they prioritize health surveillance to prevent contagion, at a time when the pandemic continues to gain ground and the youngest province in the country increases the number of positive cases for this infectious and highly transmissible disease.

The specialist in comprehensive general medicine, Doctor Dany Sosa, head of the medical team, argues: ?We have 120 beds that are contacts of positive cases, this asymptomatic patient is given a doctor’s and nursing visit pass, he is asked about the vital signs, symptoms, if it is positive, it is evaluated with the doctors and transferred to an isolation center that cares for this type of patient?.

“On the fifth day of being here, a PCR is carried out, if they are positive they are transferred to an isolation center for positive cases and if they are negative they are discharged and go home!?.
