Havana, Cuba: The changes brought by the Ordering Task constitute the most profound socio-economic transformation carried out in Cuba since the triumph of the Revolution.

Almost without realizing it, we are the protagonists of changes that have profound repercussions on the life of the country, today and tomorrow. The devaluation of the peso is an unprecedented measure in national economic history, but very different from similar decisions applied far from our borders.

In the first place, the authorities have shown to be attentive to every opinion to correct the shot whenever possible and without detracting from the objectives of the ordinance.

It is that the process is so colossal and deep that it is impossible to foresee things in detail and that is what is being done now on the fly so that the negative effects are the minimum possible.

A big difference

The policies of economic adjustment to use in the neoliberal world always mean serious social fractures and many losers.

From one day to the next, the government decrees currency devaluation, companies go bankrupt, people lose their jobs and poverty runs rampant. No one is in charge of meeting the demands of a certain social sector, much less protecting the vulnerable.

In this approach is precisely the difference of the order that is carried out here and where the authorities are alert.

Despite the drastic changes that the national economy is undergoing, they juggle so that the social damage is minimal and when that happens, the State strives to help those in need. It is the confirmation that beyond the economic there is a humanistic foundation in the order.
