Mayabeque, Cuba: The tenth place reached by Mayabeque’s baseball team in the 60th National Series had the significant contribution of young athletes who have passed through the pyramid of Cuban sports, a practice promoted by the eternal leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro, Radio Reloj reports.
“This was my first series as a regular player and the pressure I felt at the beginning was disappearing with the course of the competition and the results,” said Huracanes athlete Frank Alfonso Suárez.
His performance in the National Baseball Series earned him to play the next U-23 tournament, with no date yet defined due to the impact of COVID-19 in the country.
Despite the limitations imposed by health measures in this battle against the disease, the young player from Mayabeque continues his physical preparation at home for when the time comes to give his best on the fields.
