Processing levels reached stability in the second half of January.

Mayabeque, Cuba: As a result of the application of the Monetary Ordering Task, the first month of production of the Vegetable and Fruit Processing Plant in Santa Cruz del Norte, became a period of great challenges, including the expansion of the commercial network and the rehire of suppliers.

Within the Mariel Special Development Zone itself, they signed contracts with entities, including the Import, Export and Commercialization Alcona S.A and other units of the municipality.

As a novelty, they registered the insertion of direct sales to the population in authorized points at different times.

The Director of the Santa Cruz plant, Engineer Miguel Alejandro Villalobos Pérez, explained that despite the effort, the group failed to comply with the production plan in more than 15 tons due to the shortage of supplies. Processing levels reached stability in the second half of January.

Faced with the difficulties, the administration of the center adopted strategies in order not to affect the compensation of workers. The economic efficiency achieved in the previous year and the levels of quality and safety distinguish the factory.
