Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque reports 24 positive cases to Covid-19, according to the report issued by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Of the samples studied yesterday in the province, all are contacts of confirmed cases.
The highest number of cases is located in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Norte with 7, while San José de las Lajas, Quivicán and Nueva Paz report 3 each; Bejucal, Güines and San Nicolás have 2 and for their part, Batabanó and Madruga one each.
The 66-year-old citizen from Quivicán remains in stable critical condition. No Personal Pathological Antecedents is reported and he remains in the Intermediate Care Unit, afebrile, on mechanical ventilation with moderate respiratory distress. He is hemodynamically stable with adequate diuresis. Gasometry presents respiratory alkalosis. Chest X-ray shows inflammatory-like lesions in both lung fields.
Also a 38-year-old citizen of the Nueva Paz municipality with a Personal Pathological History of Bronchial Asthma is reported in serious condition. He is in Intermediate Care, afebrile, conscious, oriented, cooperative, oxygen dependent, spontaneously ventilating with supplemental oxygen. Hemodynamically stable. Normal diuretic rhythm. Blood gas with acceptable parameters. Chest X-ray without changes. Inflammatory lesions in the right lung base.
The use of the mask face is obligatory in all scenarios, and the presence of people with cold signs and symptoms in work centers or other institutions is prohibited.
Preventive measures include the increase in clinical investigations, disinfection of hands and surfaces with sodium hypochlorite.
