Havana: The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Friday 10 deaths and 1,241 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for an accumulated than 99 thousand 208 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation.
During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at the close of yesterday 24,277 patients were admitted, of them 3,538 suspects, 15,116 in epidemiological surveillance and 5,623 confirmed.
Durán explained that the country carried out 22,217 samples the day before for a cumulative of 3 million 473 thousand 135 samples analyzed.
The epidemiologist announced that, of the 1,241 patients, 595 were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis, 1,165 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 36 have a source of infection abroad and in 40 people the source of contagion is unknown and one thousand 205 autochthonous.
Regarding the age groups, 191 patients were diagnosed under 19 years of age and 178 pediatric ages (10 under one year). 817 hospitalized active persons remain. In the ages 19 to 39 years, 411 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years about 421 cases and 218 people over 60 years.

He specified that, of the 99 thousand 208 patients diagnosed with the disease from the beginning of it, 5 thousand 623 confirmed hospitalizations, of them 5 thousand 557 with stable clinical evolution. 569 deaths are reported (10 in the last day). The two evacuees remain, 54 returnees and 92,960 recovered patients accumulate (910 discharges of the day). 30 patients in critical condition and 36 patients in serious condition are reported.
