Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque shows a considerable increase in positive cases for Covid-19. In the most recent part related to the behavior of the disease, Mayabeque registers 87 positive cases, distributed in 10 of its 11 municipalities.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), all are indigenous and six do not know the source of infection.
The most affected municipality is Quivicán with 15, followed by Nueva Paz with 14 and San Nicolás with 11, while Bejucal and Santa Cruz del Norte reported 10.
In the capital of Mayabeque, San José de las Lajas, 8 people were diagnosed with the disease yesterday, while Batabanó and Jaruco has 6, Madruga 4 and Güines 3.
In his usual press conference, the national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), Dr. Francisco Durán García, explained that Mayabeque reported two patients in intensive care.
A 74-year-old Cuban citizen from the municipality of Bejucal with a Personal Pathological History of Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Ischemic Heart Disease. He is afebrile, with double sedation, few tracheobronchial secretions, on mechanical ventilation.
This patient is hemodynamically unstable with double support of amines. Preserved diuresis. Torax X ray. Radiological improvement. Inflammatory lesions in both lung fields and reported to be critically unstable.
Also A 57-year-old Cuban citizen, from Güines with a Personal Pathological History of Hiatal Hernia and Chronic Gastritis.
She is in Intensive Care, afebrile, with discreet polypnea, spontaneously ventilating with supplemental oxygen. She is hemodynamically stable. Preserved diuresis. Gasometry with mild and reported severe hypoxemia.
