Mayabeque, Cuba: The Faculty of Medical Sciences located in this province received the status of labor prowess for the outstanding work as an isolation center and now as a hospital to care for patients with Covid-19.
In the red zone, these professionals, together with the support staff, showed solidarity, altruism and validated medical ethics in compliance with the protocols for the care of the sick.
The general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Public Health Workers’ Union, Odalis Marrero Hernández, said: ?one hundred percent of their workers stepped forward to be on the front line of the fight against the pandemic, they have both prestige at the academic level as a union?.
In the context of the May Day commemoration, they recognized Doctor Livaldo Hernández Gómez and the Graduate in Nursing, Juana de los Ángeles Govín Scull, with the Manuel Piti Fajardo distinction. “It is the recognition of the work and the sacrifice of so many years, a high satisfaction as a health personnel and a further recognition of the entire work trajectory, as a professional saving so many lives?, Hernández Gómez said.
Govín Scull, argument: ?it is very important to me, it means a lot, since throughout my life I have given my best, I have worked to save lives, that is the most precious thing?.
