Mayabeque, Cuba: The Twenty-Fifth National Forum of University Students of Agricultural Sciences will hold virtual sessions on May 5, 6 and 7, Judith Arredondo reports.
The meeting is called by the Agrarian University of Havana “Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez” located in San José de las Lajas, capital of Mayabeque, in its capacity as co-sponsor and venue of the event.
Scientific, technological and innovative activity in the field of agricultural sciences is an essential need for universities, the country’s educational system and for local and national development.
Higher education professionals in training develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values ??that favor critical, creative thinking and an ideological and political conception in tune with current historical circumstances.
This new edition of the National Forum of University Students of Agricultural Sciences proposes the following objectives: Strengthen the scientific training of university students in careers related to Agricultural Sciences and favor the involvement and commitment of students with their environment, through the realization of Scientific research to obtain new knowledge and the solution of economic, technical, social, environmental and defense problems of the Homeland, in correspondence with the needs for our development.
Another purpose of this contest is to stimulate scientific-technical results related to the efficiency of agro-industrial, productive and agricultural services processes, food production, rural development, protection, conservation and / or rational use of the natural resources, as well as contributing to the exchange of experiences and criteria among university students in the country and the improvement of student scientific work.
