Cuba: At midnight yesterday, May 3, a total of 21,212 patients were admitted, 3,244 suspects, 12,392 under surveillance and 5,576 confirmed active, the official website of the Minsap published.
For COVID-19, 20,700 samples were studied, resulting in 1,019 positive samples. The country accumulates 3 million 720 thousand 729 samples carried out and 110 thousand 644 positive.
Of the total cases (1019): 966 were contacts of confirmed cases; 27 with a source of infection abroad; 26 without specified source of infection
Of the 1019 diagnosed cases, 524 were female and 495 male. 43.2% (440) of the 1019 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 55,217, representing 49.9% of those confirmed till the date.
The 1019 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, (165) 20 to 39 years old, (291), 40 to 59 years old (351) and over 60 years old, (212).

Of the 110 thousand 644 patients diagnosed with the disease, 5 thousand 576 remain hospitalized, of which 5 thousand 461 with stable clinical evolution. 686 deaths accumulate (11 in the day), for a fatality of 0.62; two evacuees, 54 returned to their countries, on the day there were 1070 discharges, 104 thousand 326 recovered patients accumulated (94.3%). 115 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 51 of them critical and 64 seriously ill.
Until May 3, 190 countries and 30 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, there are 154 million 24 thousand 171 confirmed cases (+ 571 thousand 673) with 18 million 709 thousand 742 active cases and 3 million 222 thousand 967 deaths (+ 7,724) for a lethality of 2.09 (-0.01).
