Mayabeque, Cuba: A brigade of 11 workers from the three sports complex, from the municipality of Güines, responded to the call of the highest authorities of Mayabeque to provide their support in the isolation centers and help the most vulnerable.
The group, made up of three women and eight men, serves at the Gilberto Arocha Faculty of Medical Sciences ad also at the Pedro Albizu Campos pedagogical school, where they assume dissimilar tasks.
The director of sports in Güines, Yuleydis Martínez Calvo, commented on the satisfaction and pride that she feels for her workers, who help the municipality, the province and therefore the country when it needs it most, in the midst of the outbreak of the Covid- 19.
She also stressed that they provide services in different areas, including the dining room, besides contributing to the hygiene of the place.
Martínez Calvo highlighted within the group the prominence of youth and their ability to avoid obstacles and face this difficult moment with courage.
?Being in the so-called Red Zone, the one with the greatest danger, is not easy. However, minutes after asking for their support, the positive response from many did not take long?, Yuleydis Martínez Calvo said.
