Mayabeque, Cuba: In the municipality of Jaruco 590 volunteers received the third dose of the vaccine candidate Abdala, without presenting serious adverse events and in the middle of a process marked by discipline and organization.
In this way, the end of the first chapter of the health intervention is approaching, which encompasses a universe of almost 700 individuals: Public Health, Optics and Pharmacy workers and Medical Sciences students, among other groups exposed to risks.
The researcher responsible for the study, Dr. Dianelis Valdés, said that it is confirmed the safety of the Cuban biotechnological product, whose use will be extended to other population groups in Jaruco, ?as soon as the conditions are created and the Ministry of Public Health gives the green light.
With a view to the continuity of the health intervention with the vaccine candidates produced on the island, the family doctors and nurses updated the population census in their health areas, while the vaccination points in the educational institutions of all the popular advice.
Abdala has benefited millions of Cubans this year and its application seeks to reduce infections as well as the rates of serious and critical patients due to the coronavirus, in the midst of a complex epidemiological situation.
