Actions in Madruga to save energy and avoid infractions
Mayabeque, Cuba: The obstacles placed by the United States’ blockade of Cuba to prevent the importation into the country of fuels and other material resources necessary for the development of electricity generation make it necessary to save energy and confront illegalities.
In that sense, actions are taken in Madruga, to combat electricity fraud and contribute to the economy, said the director of the municipality’s Electric Base Business Unit (UEB), Yoel Fumero Abreu.
This work makes it possible to detect some manifestations of electrical fraud in the territory so far this year.
High fines are applied to offenders and other legal actions are taken to compensate the damage to the economy.
The manager emphasized the need for optimal use of energy and confirmed the efforts of the National Electricity Union to solve in the shortest possible time the problems that are currently affecting the service.
