Mayabeque, Cuba: The Temporary Working Group to confront Covid-19 in Madruga, decided to establish the absolute restriction of movement in the Jesús Menéndez district, given the increase in confirmed and suspected cases, in that area belonging to the Popular Council ( CP) of Aguacate.
The closure prohibits the movement of people or any means of transport, it is a drastic measure, but necessary to stop the spread of the virus.
Madruga exceeded 100 cases of infections in the last fifteen days and the most complex situation is in that CP, where the Jesús Menéndez neighborhood is located, hence the decision to declare a community event there.
The residents in the place will have the messenger service to attend to their needs, and will have the monitoring of health personnel. In the rest of the town, the movement restriction was established, from one past meridian until 6 in the morning and self-employment activity is suspended.
