Mayabeque, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health published on its official website that yesterday Mayabeque reached a high number of positive cases for Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, with a total of 270 infected.
Of these, 254 are contacts of previously confirmed cases and 16 have no specified source of infection.
The municipality of Güines registered 47 people with the disease and Santa Cruz del Norte 44.
For its part, San Nicolás reported 33, while Batabanó and San José de Las Lajas 32 each.
The municipality of Nueva Paz identified 25 people with the new coronavirus.
The territory of Bejucal confirmed 18 cases, Jaruco 17 and Melena del Sur 12.
Meanwhile, Madruga and Quivicán diagnose 5 patients with the virus in each locality.
The highest authorities of the Government and Public Health in Mayabeque urge the mandatory use of a protective mask (nasobuco) in all scenarios and disinfect hands and surfaces with sodium hypochlorite, as one of the main methods to contain the spread of the pandemic.
