In the last days, leaders, personalities and organizations expressed their solidarity with Cuba

Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, thanked today the solidarity with the country regarding the political-media campaign denounced by local authorities.

Through the social network Twitter, the Minister of Foreign Relations welcomed the pronouncements of personalities, government figures, representatives of solidarity movements, several organizations and Cubans abroad against the crusade.

Cuba appreciates the many expressions of support that come to us from different corners of the world, he added.

In the last days, the presidents of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro; from Bolivia, Luis Arce; from Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega; and from Mexico, Andrés Manuel López, rejected interference in Cuban internal affairs and spoke out against the US blockade.

Organizations such as the Puebla Group, the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) also called for respect for the sovereignty of the island.

Meanwhile, governments such as those of Russia and China expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Cuban State to maintain social stability, in the face of attempts to generate chaos. Personalities such as former presidents Evo Morales, from Bolivia, and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, from Brazil, and intellectuals such as Atilio Borón and Ignacio Ramonet expressed their solidarity
