Twenty-seven years after this event and as a result of the events that have occurred in recent times, there are historical similarities where once again the destabilizing elements have tried to overthrow the socialist ideology and the Cuban government has come out in defense of its ideals.
As Fidel Castro pronounced a year after the events of August 5, Diaz-Canel now does so in the face of the systematic provocations of the empire and the continuous tricks imposed to destroy the system.
Every year we will have the duty to remember the great victory of August 5, 1994 in which the people crushed the counterrevolution without firing a shot, because this date says a lot, it teaches a lot as well as it encourages.
That was said by the undefeated Commander said in a speech during the celebration of one of the commemorative anniversaries. Thus, on this day, the inhabitants of San Nicolás also participate in this great triumph, through community intervention in productive work that will have the contribution of members of the CDR, FMC, ANAP and young people from different organizations.
The objective is to ratify once again its support for the Cuban cause in defense of the socialist revolution.
