Health professionals fight Covid-19

Mayabeque, Cuba: Every day can be the page of a book that is about to be written. Covid-19, as malicious as it is, does not inspire but, it does awaken the instinct to describe what happens, those experiences that have multiplied tears, mourned families and friends and showed a face almost of horror.

On a daily basis, a group of men and women from San José de las Lajas, clothed by the maximum sensitivity with which their profession has hardened them, face Covid-19 in unequal combat.

Every day they put knowledge, shame and dedication in this most humane work that involves saving lives. They are the health professionals, whose experiences many have shared in sister lands, testing they courage in situations of extreme danger.

Now they are in different combats, before a lethal and invisible enemy, a pandemic that lurks and strikes. Also in the face of another pandemic that cornered, suffocated, increased deprivation and difficulties, mercilessly blockade and harassed.

Beyond fatigue, uncertainty in the face of the unknown, there is the will and the bravery that they have in each day, there is the love for the job and perseverance, there is the heroic attitude that makes them firm and serene to promote calm, confidence and courage to overcome the adverse.

Every day can be the page of a book to be written and when it is done, the feats of the men and women in white coats cannot be absent, those who have to overcome difficulties and on them build relief for the afflicted; Those who have to give the news that no one wants to hear, those who fight because the end does not come. Every day is a story.
