Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí.

Havana, Cuba: The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, checked the preparation of the country’s air terminals, to guarantee the arrival of travelers before the reopening scheduled for November 15, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

According to the Twitter account of the Presidency, Marrero visited the capital’s José Martí International Airport, and there he verified the distribution of parcels sent to the Antillean nation from abroad for natural persons.

More than one and a half million packages have been delivered since September 20. The work of the six freight forwarders dedicated to these purposes is streamlined, but it is still not enough, the Presidency announced.

For Cuba, it is a priority to eliminate the organizational problems and obstacles that influence the delay in the delivery of these cargoes, an issue in which the top management of the country participates.

In recent statements, the prime minister called for flexibility in each analysis, in addition to quickly detecting and communicating information on any difficulty in keeping the word promised to the population.

The reopening of the country to tourism scheduled for next Monday also occupies managers of this sector, from the readaptation of sanitary hygiene protocols in the arrival and transportation of visitors, as well as the renewal of the offer and the elevation of the quality standards.
