Mayabeque, Cuba: Self-employed workers who are taxpayers to the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) have a deadline of December 31 of this year to submit applications that keep them in that condition.

According to the director of the entity in San Nicolás, Adanieguis Dávila Álvarez, the process responds to the tax adjustments published in the Official Gazette number 94 of August 19, 2021.

These oblige workers in the non-state sector to submit their personal income tax affidavit regardless of the tax regime that is applied to them as of next year.

In this sense, the ONAT of the territory will approve in the case that corresponds the simplified taxation regime, they require that the annual income be less than 200 thousand pesos, do not have hired workers, do not exercise in tourist centers and in conservation areas or of high patrimonial value, among others.

The official pointed out that the tax office has a term of five business days to respond to the taxpayer whether or not the request has been approved.
